Thomas & Betts, Carlon's Entry Chime has been designed to operate magnetically. As the door opens, the chime magnet pulls away from the door frame, causing the magnet to hit the chime bar which makes a pleasant sound.
If you don't have a metal door frame, a metal disk is included. Simply mount disk to frame to align with chime magnet. - Easy to install
